The 30-minute increase in the last session of the afternoon session on July 26, with strong support from mid-range stocks in the VN30 basket, successfully pushed the VN-Index above the 1,240-point threshold. The breadth was completely reversed compared to the morning session, with the number of stocks increasing 2.2 times more than the number of stocks decreasing. The increase in the last 30 minutes of this afternoon's session was strongly supported by mid-range stocks in the VN30 basket, helping the VN-Index successfully surpass the 1,240-point threshold. The breadth was completely reversed compared to the morning session, with the number of stocks increasing 2.2 times more than the number of stocks decreasing. In particular, this afternoon, foreign investors returned to net buying of nearly VND544 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the VN-Index was still above the reference for more than half of the afternoon session, the movement was only sideways. At 2:00 a.m., the breadth was still 198 gainers\/202 losers. The changes focused on the last 30 minutes of the session, with the core being mid-cap blue-chips, instead of pillar stocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The outstanding transaction this afternoon was FPT. At the end of the morning session, this stock was still down 0.24%, but after a few afternoon sessions, it broke out continuously. FPT increased almost non-stop and closed at the highest peak of the session, up 2.4% compared to the reference, equivalent to an increase of 2.65% in the afternoon alone. MSN was also extremely impressive, increasing 2.11% in the morning, increasing another 2.07% in the afternoon, closing above the reference at 4.23%. These two stocks attracted very good cash flow, FPT matched an additional 338.9 billion VND, MSN matched an additional 292.7 billion, the highest in the VN30 basket and accounting for 24% of the total transaction of the entire basket in the afternoon session. BCM was also quite impressive with a price increase of 1.4% this afternoon alone and closing with a total increase of 4.92%. These are also the 3 stocks that add the most points to the VN-Index.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, the three stocks mentioned above are not the largest in terms of capitalization. FPT is ranked 3rd in the market after VCB and BID, but MSN is only ranked 15th and BCM is ranked 18th. VCB - the largest stock - is only referenced, BID slightly increased by 0.54%, GAS and HPG are at the bottom of the Top 5, only increasing by 0.52% and 0.37%. Compared to the closing price in the morning, VCB, BID, HPG are even lower this afternoon. Not to mention VHM decreased by 0.13%, TCB and VIC referenced. If these pillars also join the group of better price increases, the VN-Index will certainly create a spectacular explosion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the VN-Index closed at 1,242.11 points, up 8.92 points (+0.72%) compared to the reference. The good point is that the index regained the psychological support level of 1,240 points after 3 sessions of closing below this level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today's overall liquidity is quite low, but the codes attracting the strongest cash flow mostly increased impressively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recovery of stocks this afternoon was much better than the index. In the last 30 minutes of the continuous order matching session, nearly a hundred stocks reversed to increase beyond the reference. The breadth of the VN-Index at the end of the session was 284 stocks increased\/129 stocks decreased. Of which, 128 stocks increased by more than 1%, compared to 65 stocks in the morning. This group of best increases accounted for 47.2% of the total order matching value of the floor. Many stocks attracted impressive cash flow such as MSN, FPT, MBB, DGC, HVN, DBC, POW...<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VN30-Index closed up 0.76% with 22 stocks increasing\/3 stocks decreasing, slightly better than the morning session (20 stocks increasing\/8 stocks decreasing). Statistics show that 19 stocks in the basket increased higher than the morning session, 8 stocks decreased in price. However, most stocks only increased slightly, except for BCM, FPT, MSN, POW, SSB, which were stocks that changed over 1%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mid- and small-cap stocks of course benefited greatly from the late-day breakout. Of the more than 30 stocks that increased above 3%, only MSN, POW, BCM, and PLX were in the VN30 basket. The HVN, CMG, DBC, IMP, TV2, and PAN groups increased sharply in price with quite high liquidity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Liquidity on the two listed exchanges this afternoon increased by 43% compared to the morning session, reaching nearly 6,349 billion VND. HoSE increased by 44% with 5,969 billion VND. This liquidity level is not high, but the stock price has made an impressive breakthrough. This continues to confirm that the selling pressure is not large, creating favorable conditions for small demand to push prices up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
