On August 26, 2025, the Government issued Decree No. 232\/2025\/ND-CP<\/strong>, an important amendment to Decree 24\/2012\/ND-CP on the management of gold trading activities. The most notable point is the official Abolish the State monopoly on gold bar production<\/strong>, and at the same time expand the scope of regulation to allow businesses and commercial banks to be eligible to participate in the production, import and export of gold. This is a major turning point, opening a more transparent and competitive development period for the Vietnamese gold, silver and gemstone market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
