US stocks cooled down in the third trading session, the prices of precious metals such as gold were also mixed.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The financial economic news shows<\/strong> US Stock Market Situation November 12<\/strong>: At the end of the session, the Dow Jones index closed at 43,910.98 points, down 0.86% compared to the previous session. The five-session streak of the two major US indexes also ended when the S&P 500 index fell 0.29%, to 5,983.99 points; the Nasdaq Composite index fell 0.09%, to 19,281.40 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the US Treasury bond situation<\/strong>, on the morning of November 13, the yield on treasury bonds inched up to 4.428%. The USD also increased against 6 other major currencies, the Dollar Index (DXY) increased by 0.41%, reaching 105.95.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0About Gold Situation<\/strong>, at the end of the trading session on November 12, spot gold contracts decreased by nearly 1%, to 2,600.49 USD\/ounce. Gold futures contracts decreased by 0.4% to 2,606.4 USD\/ounce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the situation of the commodity trading market<\/strong>: Brent crude futures rose to $71.89 a barrel. WTI crude futures rose to $68.12 a barrel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Economic and financial news<\/strong> about<\/strong> The metal group had some mixed developments.<\/strong> Silver price in December 2024 increased slightly by 0.5% to 30,759 USD\/troy ounce. Platinum price in January 2024 fell by 2% to 948.2 USD\/troy ounce. Copper also fell by more than 2% to 4,1365 USD\/pound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Copper prices led the declines as the dollar strengthened, with investors seemingly joining the \u201cwatchdog\u201d team, staying on the sidelines. Uncertainty over Trump\u2019s return also weighed on sentiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

China is reportedly considering a plan to cut the property transfer tax for buyers from the current 3% to as low as 1%, according to a Bloomberg report; but this has failed to provide any impetus to the iron ore market, with prices falling below $100 a tonne, their lowest in more than two weeks.
