On the afternoon of November 7, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized the Vietnam – EU Cooperation Forum 2024 with the theme “Adaptation efforts for a sustainable prosperous future”. The event took place live in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Vietnam - EU Forum 2024 aims to maintain a channel of interaction and practical exchange between Government agencies and the Vietnamese - EU business community in policy dialogue, updating market information, and supporting business and investment connections.
Representatives of HVA Group attended, including Mr. Le Hoa Nha, General Director of HVA Group, and Mr. Nguyen Hoai Tuong, Director of Digital Transformation Division and Director of Big Data and AI Center of HVA Group, attended the Vietnam - EU Cooperation Forum 2024 and shared about the orientation to attract investment from EU partners in the fields of green economy and circular economy.
At the forum, the General Director of HVA Group had a direct conversation with Mr. Julien Guerrier, Ambassador, Head of the EU Delegation to Vietnam. This conversation focused on exploring potential investment cooperation opportunities in European markets, especially in the fields of advanced technology, renewable energy and innovation, opening up opportunities to participate in major projects in the EU.
The forum provides multi-dimensional perspectives from experts on market prospects and the possibility of deeper participation in the supply chain with EU partners. The event is attended by leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, representatives of the EU Delegation to Vietnam, the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham Vietnam), along with experts, businesses and local representatives. The forum will be divided into two sessions, the discussion session focusing on important areas of cooperation such as green economy, circular economy and energy transition, current trends that are of interest to both sides.
The panel discussion also focused on challenges from non-tariff barriers and trade protectionism, updates on new EU policies, including the Border Carbon Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the EU Deforestation Prevention Regulation (EUDR) and the Supply Chain Due Diligence Directive (CS3D), and the impact of these changes on trade and investment.
