After more than 5 months of implementation, the Semi-final round of the 2024 Franchise Startup Competition (VFSC) took place successfully on the morning of September 28, 2024. The event, organized by the Vietnam Franchise & Licensing Network (VFLN), brought many creative ideas, helped discover potential franchise models and enhance the entrepreneurial spirit among young people.
HVA Investment Joint Stock Company (HVA Group) was also present at the event, represented by Mr. Eric Vuong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of HVA Group & Co-founder and General Director of FUNDGO. Mr. Vuong participated as a member of the Jury, to find potential projects that will continue to the final round.
7 Franchise Ideas from Semi-Finalists
This year’s competition focuses on three main objectives: creating a playground for Vietnamese startups to realize their ideas in the licensing and franchising industry, supporting the development of Vietnamese brands globally, and connecting the community of advisors and investors with startups. Seven brands from the competing teams presented unique and creative projects, with many projects promising to be invested in to bring practical value to society.
The competition was exciting and attractive when each team brought new and creative perspectives. With 15 minutes of presentation, 7 teams including: PLV CHICKEN, FASTHUB, CUSAMI, GRANDMA LU, TE'OALOGY, SECODEE and CHẢO NGHÊU O HOÈN introduced unique business ideas and franchise models and answered professional questions from the judges.
Semi-final round of 5-month journey rich in experience
To present a complete “product” to the judges in the semi-final round, the teams have been working continuously for the past 5 months. The teams have participated in training courses under the constant accompaniment of the coaches in the competition. The teams have participated in coaching sessions to survey the market, find out the root causes leading to the current state of the problem. From there, they have come up with new solutions to solve the 3 main goals of the competition.
The teams then proceeded to the project presentation phase, with each team having 15 minutes to present their ideas and respond to questions from the judges. All seven projects clearly demonstrated the urgency of the issues they were concerned about, while also assessing the current situation and exploring innovative solutions to address those challenges. The judges recognized and highly appreciated the teams’ initiative and efforts in finding new solutions.
Leaves many valuable lessons
A journey long enough for the teams to learn, cultivate and create useful franchise ideas, helping the brand grow. What remains after this journey are memories, invaluable lessons and the values that you have, are and will contribute to the startup community.
With positive feedback from the judges, the teams will continue to perfect their ideas to participate in the upcoming final round. The 2024 Franchise Startup Competition has successfully concluded the semi-finals, promising to bring many practical values to the community and society. These creative ideas not only reflect a strong entrepreneurial spirit but also contribute to promoting the sustainable development of the Vietnamese economy.
